Favorite Bible Verse

Cindy over at I Owe It All To Him is having a link party. 
 She asked each of us to post our favorite bible verse.
  How do you pick 1 verse?
There are many verses that have spoken to me,
 I'm not sure which spoke the loudest or rang the truest. 
 I believe the verse that comes to mind, most often is:

Psalm 19:14
"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.  KJV

How often do I say things or think things,
 that really are not in the best interest of anyone. 
 I can be quick to judge or make a decision,
 to speak out, when I know deep inside that,
 this is wrong. 
 Yes, I need to watch my words and think
 on the good in others. 
That is certainly the way
 I want others to see me.

This is so beautiful...I actually know a tune to that verse, so when I read it, the sound of it went through my head and heart. THANK YOU so much for reminding me of it.

God has shown love love,,love believes the best. That is what I keep repeating over and over within my heart in life's circumstances, with my family, friends and!! Love believing the best,,and oh ya,,the mouth part,,speaking it too,lol.

Debbie, I love it. that is a good 1 that I really need to keep close by too. I have to remember the one I typed on the computer and made a sign for in my muddroom too. Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praise-worthy, think of such things. Phil 4:8

Great verse!! Controlling our thought life is so important; and then too what is harder than controlling the tongue (as James would say!). The two really do go hand and hand. AND it is a beautiful prayer. Thanks for sharing this one.

Boy, isn't that the truth. Even when we do not mean to be hurtful, it is easy to speak without thinking how it sounds, and other times we just open our mouths and say what we think and then wish we had not. Words are very hard to take back, and apologies are not always erasers. Thanks for your post.
