I think you did pretty darned good! You did something with your first piece that I still struggle with and that was to run the line of ribbon so it meandered. I always want to follow the seam lines and have a tough time telling myself that it's okay not to. Great job!! (Now, what's next??)

You did a beautiful job!!! Remember that Golden rule of crazy quilting ~ NO rules ~ YIPEEE!!!You made me laugh about sewing the back on too soon. I still do that ~ after I get the thing together realize there is another spot that needs something and contort my fingers ~ trying to get in a few more stitches or beading. Most times you can do it from the top though.I started crazy quilting 10 yrs ago and still feel like a beginner. Pat, Pam and Sharon were the first crazy quilters I found on line and I just drank in inspiration from them and Still do!!!Isn't it SO much fun!!!

Debbie, this is fantastic. You have put so much extra stitching on the pillow - and it goes so well with the fabric. Your stitching adds so much and brings it all together. I enlarged the picture and was amazed at the different kinds of stitches- this could be a sampler. You might have to change the name "crazy" quilt. This is too pretty to go in that category.

Debbie, that is beautiful! The vines definitely add some movement to the piece. Your balance is good and your color choices are lovely!

Hi Debbie. Thanks for letting me know you had posted a CQ piece also. I hope mine turns out half as beautiful as yours. I love what you did with it and the heart shape is perfect. I am enjoying working on mine. What is your next project? CQ is addictive isn't it! Take care, Connie

I am not a crazy quilter, but I am crazy, I don't know if that counts, I think it is gorgeous and obvious that you spent tons of time on it!!

Hi Debbie! I think this is amazing. YOu have accomplished a few things on this piece that many struggle with. First of all, you weren't afraid to cross over seams with your embellishment. I think a block that stays within its own seams looks tight and constricted. Yours isn't this way in the least.

Secondly, you also used your embellishment to help the eye wander around the heart. No one area keeps my attention and my eye continued to be interested and travel around the heart. All in all, I'd say you have a wonderful sense of design already. Now, YOU need to decide what you'd like to improve upon and go from there.

Glad we're on the journey together, xo Susan

I just finished completing a patchwork type book cover and it took me forever. I can only imagine how much time this took you to make this lovely piece.

You have lots of stitch patterns on your machine, and I love how you used them all. This is one super piece and I wish I had HALF your sewing skills. That means I have NO advice for you, except to keep doing what you are doing.

Also, thank you beyond belief for your lovely comment this morning. It meant a lot to me.

I agree! It is beautiful!
I have missed my visits, but I am back!

I really love the stitch, the small pieces, it has that heartfelt handmade touch. What a lucky receiver.
