With the arrival of the first few
hearts, I decided I had better get to
stitchin'. I pieced the block with
my usual flip and trim method.
I then basted the block to a
square of cotton to allow the
block to be placed in an
embroidery hoop.
And then the stitchin' began...
Love to all,
Debbie

Why have I never thought about basting my wool pieces to a piece of muslin so I could work on a stretched surface - I've sewn since I was 12 and I'm older than dirt now! Giggle, giggle, snort, snort - thanks for the tip Debbie!
It looks so beautiful Debbie.....

Your heart is beautiful and you are truly putting your heart into making this one. How wise of you to baste to fabric so you can hoop it for stitching. Thank you for sharing your technique. Happy heart stitching...
Beautiful work, Debbie! Wow... your stitching is something for me to strive toward as a goal. It's going to take me forever to be as good :) Thank you for sharing your process!
Is that basted on to a solid piece of fabric and you just stitch through it?

Just dropping in to say hi! Hope you had a great weekend!
I had already finished my heart... It turned out very pretty... Then I got an idea for another one and made it! So now I have to decide which one to send!
I was almost to the point I could start sewing, but we had to go and get the grands for the night. I hope mine turns out the way I envision it!
The fabrics look so pretty together, but your embroidery makes it look beautiful.
Glad to read on 'Simply Debbie' that you are doing so well, and that treatments will be minimal.
Wow, Debbie, that is amazing! You put me to shame. Mailing mine tomorrow. Hugs, Riki
