CQJP and TAST

for  January
 is complete.
(Not a moment too soon either.)

I needed something in the
upper right corner, it
was a good place for
a button, bead and stitch
cluster.
I really like the mix of color
and texture.
The inspiration for my cardinal in the
tree branch came from my
backyard.  I have decided to use,
"In My Backyard"
as my theme.
I will be featuring something
I can see in my backyard
on each block.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My TAST primitive
sampler has the first
4 stitches complete.
These stitches are my first
attempt at each stitch.
I want the sampler to have
an innocent,
 informal look
to it.
Each stitch has a 1" x 2" area.
They will be worked in a brick like pattern.
At some point,
 I will add the title;
TAST
2012
to the center.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back to work on my
Whitework Wrapping Cloth!

Love to all,
Deb

I loved that cardinal and the evergreen branch so much I had to add it to my Pinterest pinboard today. So if you see it running around on Pinterest, that was me (and probably some other pinners as well!) Love your embroidery.
Happy Stitching!

Deb, I love how your blog came out. That sweet bird is the perfect addition and the cluster in the corner really finishes the block off. I finally posted mine today too. I can't wait to see what else is in your back yard (giggle). Great idea for TAST and your stitches look great! Hugs, Connie

Hi, Debbie. The red cardinal block is lovely. I really like what you did with the buttons as well. I hadn't thought of stitching a design onto/through/around them. Cool!
