It's Rusted And Ready To Be Encrusted

Muslin after sitting with the
rusted steel wool pad overnight.
The fabric has been thoroughly
washed and dried with a hot iron.

 The threads DMC Perle
on left and Candlewicking on right took
up some of the color, but not as much as
I would have liked.

Now on with the encrusting!

Love to all,
Deb

I'm sure this will be another wonderful creation. Your other pebble turned out very cool. This does look like a fun project.

Oh my, this will be stunning - simply stunning. I love the idea of rust stains on the fabric... I can't wait to see it all done! I think these little crusty things are just wonderful and I really need to make some time and try it. Really need to...

Encrusting rust will be an exciting adventure. You certainly have the beginnings ready to work with. Happy stitching...

Love this fabric. I'm tempted to try this for my next pebble, not sure if I can resist!

I can't wait to see how this turns out! I've been working on encrusted calicos, too, and I love eco dyed and rusted fabrics!
