Isn't it gorgeous. There are probably bits of fabrics from scraps of clothes made or worn too. These old time quilts are, in my opinion works of art and useful, unlike the more sophisticated works with silk ribbons etc, that can't be washed.xx, Carol
Love these old quilts they have such personality!!
Debs I have loved seeing this quilt.. thanks so much ... just amazing..Hugz

Just incredible! I know you wish that work of art was yours to keep!
Does that last block say "Deb"? I love how she has personalized everything with the names. What a wonderful quilt. Thanks for sharing it.
It is truly so very beautiful, dear Deb- I so understand your facination of this gorgeous quilt, what clever hands have made it, and shared hours together.Hugs,Dorthe
Amazing Deb! That artist's palette is going on one of my blocks! The flowers are wonderful and I love some of these seam treatments. Oh to know the history behind it all! Thank you so much!
An artist palette - wow! I especially like the ribbon flowers and so nice to know that the makers name and date was included on the quilt. So many of the old ones don't have that and it's such a shame.
Deb I have loved seeing all these photos they are fabulous.
