Tatted Totes For Breast Cancer Project

Today I found a very worthwhile project!
The link was found on Pig Tales and Quilts:
Tatted Totes For Breast Cancer.
There you will find a link to:
https://mjslostcause.wordpress.com/2014/02/21/tatted-totes-4-tatted-tits/

The project... creating tote bags for
those newly diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
She would like to receive 100 bags before
Mother's Day May 11, 2014.
Let's help her get 1,000!!!

Deb

Another generous program you are joining Deb Dear. I have followed every link and at a loss to see the "Tatted" part of the totes. Am I missing something? I would love to participate however am not able to at this time however I am certain the need is always great unfortunately. So maybe I can donate totes at a later date. You are such a dear soul my friend. Blessings...

Wonderful project. Sadly, tatting is one thing I don't do. Thanks for passing the word along, though. I'm sure there are many who will read it and get involved.

I am not sure why they call the totes tatted....I think the tatted refers to the tattoos they received for the radiation. The totes are regular tote bags. I have 3 completed and working on more.

No need to tat, the tote bags are sewn and the pattern is an easy one!

A wonderful and very meaningful project. As someone who is a breast cancer survivor - the thoughtfulness, generosity, support and care from others is absolutely unbeatable. Thanks for posting Deb.

Thank you Deb for sharing this wonderful project with all of us. I've shared it with friends and family as well. We all need to help make this project a huge success-

I have no sewing skills at all, putting a button back on is tricky for me, but what a wonderful project. We have been watching the daughter of friends spend the past 2 years fighting to survive stage 4 breast cancer...she has 2 small children and is in her early 30's. Anything that makes life easier for these brave women is so worthwhile. You really do make a difference with all you do to help others.

Indeed a meaningful, worthwhile project!

The breast cancer monster seems to touch so many of us in one way or another. Those 2 small children need their mom and hope she is here for many, many years to come.
